To support the Controller and Sr. Accountant in carrying out responsibilities of the Finance/Accounting department.

What You Can Expect

Essential Functions

  • Maintain and manage time keeping system
  • Record and reconcile monthly inventory transactions
  • Support accounts payable during month end close and as needed
  • Maintain Fixed Asset and associated depreciation schedules and ensure proper recording of new purchases and disposals
  • Assist with Month End Close procedures as assigned while utilizing current technologies to ensure proper record keeping
  • Support Payroll System and Payroll related items
  • Process and drive Accounts Receivable collection efforts; approximately 20 invoices each month
  • Maintain deposits, petty cash and support reconciliations
  • Support audits, and regulatory reporting and inquires

Supervisory Responsibility
This position has no direct supervisory responsibilities.

Work Environment
This job operates in a professional office environment. This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as laptop computers and photocopiers.

Physical Demands
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to talk or hear. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision and ability to adjust focus. This would require the ability to lift files, open filing cabinets and bend or stand on a stool as necessary.

Position Type/Expected Hours of Work
This is a full-time position at 40 hours per week.  Typical office hours include Monday-Friday, 8:00am-5:00pm, however these hours will vary based on workload and the manager’s discretion.  This job may require more than 40 hours of work per week as the need arises.

No travel is expected for this position.


Required Education and Experience

  • Must have US Citizenship
  • Must reside in Colorado
  • Associate’s degree in Accounting with two years’ experience
  • Solid understanding of Accounting debits/credits
  • Perfectionist by nature, with no tolerance for financial sloppiness
  • Highly skilled in dealing with financial and numeric data
  • Highly skilled in use of Excel Spreadsheets
  • Excellent verbal/communication skills
  • Must have excellent work habits with the flexibility to accomplish deadlines in a timely manner especially when important deadlines cause greater than normal departmental pressures
  • History of working in a paperless environment
  • Must be able to work independently with minimal supervision

Preferred Education and Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting
  • Course/field work in job costing
  • Experience in a manufacturing company
  • Experience working in a fast-paced, small company team environment
  • Experience with intercompany transactions
