About the Position

Position Objective: To support the Controller and Sr. Accountant in carrying out responsibilities of the Finance/Accounting department

 

Essential Functions

 

  • Maintain and mange Fixed Asset schedule to ensure proper recording of new purchases and disposals

  • Assist with Month End Close procedures as assigned while utilizing current technologies to ensure proper record keeping

  • Support Payroll System and Payroll related items

  • Record and reconcile inventory transactions, supervise cycle counts, review BOMs

  • Maintain and Manage Accounts Receivable

  • Support audits, and regulatory reporting and inquires

  • Other duties as assigned

 

What You Can Expect

Supervisory Responsibility

This position has no direct supervisory responsibilities and operates as part of a five person team.  

Work Environment

This job operates in a professional office environment. This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as laptop computers and photocopiers.

Physical Demands

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to talk or hear. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision and ability to adjust focus. This would require the ability to lift files, open filing cabinets and bend or stand on a stool as necessary.  Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions.

Position Type/Expected Hours of Work

This is a full-time position at 40 hours per week.  Typical office hours include Monday-Friday, 8:00am-5:00pm, however these hours will vary based on workload and the manager’s discretion.  This job may require more than 40 hours of work per week as the need arises.

Travel

No travel is expected for this position.

Qualifications

Required Education and Experience

  • U.S. Citizenship

  • Reside in Colorado

  • Bachelor’s Degree in an accounting discipline and / or relevant experience.

  • Course / field work in Job costing is preferred

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills

  • A capacity to thrive in a self-motivated environment that has few boundaries and at-times conflicting priorities

  • History of working in a paperless environment

  • Excellent organizational and analytical skills and a detail-oriented problem-solving approach

  • Must be highly skilled in the use of excel spreadsheets.

  • Must be skilled in working with financial and numeric data.

  • Excellent work habits with flexibility to accomplish tasks in a timely manner

Preferred Education and Experience

  • Bachelor’s or Associates Degree with 1-2 years experience in an accounting discipline.

  • Experience in manufacturing costing is preferred.

  • Experience in a small company team environment is preferred.
