What You Can Expect


Essential Functions

  • Implement continuous process improvements to FIRST RF’s QMS
  • Review customer Quality requirement, specifications, statement of work (SOW)
  • Ensure Quality & Product Assurance, compliance matrix
  • Review drawings, specifications, and procedures for ECO changes
  • Review Detailed Process Procedure (DPP), Acceptance Test Procedure (ATP) 
  • Conduct supplier assessment & audits, maintain Approved Vendor List (AVL)
  • Mitigate supplier First Article Inspection Reports (FAIRs) completeness
  • Ensure applicable product delivery documentation, Certificate of Conformance (CoC)
  • Prepare for source inspection, interact with customer
  • Investigate customer, supplier, and internal NCRs and CARs
  • Lead Material Review Board (MRB), drive closure to non-conformances
  • Determine root cause, corrective and preventative actions (CAPA)
  • Internal audits, ISO9001/AS9100 audits, customer surveys

Support Functions

  • Generate NCR, CAR, QMS metrics
  • Assist in creating FAIRs as needed
  • Submit to customer change proposals
  • Archive & scan all applicable records
  • GIDEP and counterfeit avoidance


  • In-process build Quality Inspection
  • Training of procedure changes
  • Take photos of defects
  • Assist QA Inspectors & Mgr. as required
  • Initiate/disposition/close purge


Supervisory Responsibility

This position has no direct supervisory responsibilities.

Work Environment

This job operates in a professional office environment. This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as laptop computers and photocopiers.

Physical Demands

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to talk or hear. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision and ability to adjust focus. This would require the ability to lift files, open filing cabinets and bend or stand on a stool as necessary.  Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions.

Position Type/Expected Hours of Work

This is a full-time position at 40 hours per week.  Typical office hours include Monday-Friday, 8:00am-5:00pm, however these hours will vary based on workload and the manager’s discretion.  This job may require more than 40 hours of work per week as the need arises.


10% travel or as needed.

Required Education and Experience

  • U.S. Citizenship and ability to obtain a U.S. Security Clearance
  • Minimum BSEE or BSME
  • Minimum 5 years’ experience in ISO 9001 manufacturing
  • Familiar with GD&T or electrical drawings
  • Clear oral & written communication skills
  • Calipers, micrometers, ht. stands, gauges
  • Visual Inspection using microscopes
  • Understand ESD protocols

Preferred Experience and Skills

  • Conducted AS9100 audits
  • AS9102 First Article Inspection
  • Familiar w/PCB, PCBA, Cable, & Magnetic
  • Soldering J-STD-001 certified
  • Statistical Process Control (SPC)
  • Conducted Internal audits
  • Familiar with IPC-A-600, 610, 620
  • Automated visual inspection equipment
  • Destructive physical analysis (DPA)
  • CMM experience
