What You Can Expect

Essential Functions

  • Incoming inspection PCB/PCBAs, electrical and mechanical components
  • In-process inspection of build assemblies in Manufacturing
  • Ensure both hardware and documentation completeness 
  • Strict adherence to build work instructions
  • Conduct in-process Quality Inspection of solder joints, torque, staking, and paint
  • Strict adherence to Acceptance Test Procedures (ATP)
  • Able to understand/conduct test procedures as defined 
  • Verify test reports and data per ATP
  • Review drawings, specifications, and procedures for ECO changes
  • Mitigate internal/external First Article Inspection Reports completeness
  • Investigate customer, supplier, and internal Non-conformances
  • Take photos of defects and suspected issues
  • Determine root cause, corrective and preventive actions
  • Source inspection with customer or at supplier
  • Create First Article Inspection Reports (FAIRs)
  • Archive & scan all applicable records

Support Functions

  • Create Certificate of Conformance
  • Conduct Internal audits
  • Participate in ISO9001/AS9100 audits
  • Assist Quality & Product Assurance group as required

Supervisory Responsibility

This position has no direct supervisory responsibilities.

Work Environment

This job operates in a professional office environment. This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as laptop computers and photocopiers.

Physical Demands

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to talk or hear. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision and ability to adjust focus. This would require the ability to lift files, open filing cabinets and bend or stand on a stool as necessary.  Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions.

Position Type/Expected Hours of Work

This is a full-time position at 40 hours per week.  Typical office hours include Monday-Friday, 8:00am-5:00pm, however these hours will vary based on workload and the manager’s discretion.  This job may require more than 40 hours of work per week as the need arises.

Travel

10% travel or as needed.

Qualifications

  • U.S. Citizenship and ability to obtain a U.S. Security Clearance
  • Electrical or Electronic certification(s)
  • Understand basics of electrical and/or electronics circuit design
  • Minimum 5 years’ experience in an ISO 9001 or AS9100 work environment
  • Ability understand performance specifications and Quality requirements
  • Able to interpret PCB & PCBA drawings
  • Familiarity with IPC-610-A
  • Worked with Network analyzer, spectrum analyzer, attenuator, calibration kits
  • Experienced with Signal generator, power supply, power meter, DMM
  • Know how to use caliper, micrometer, height stand, pin gauge, thread gauge
  • Visual Inspection using microscopes
  • Understand ESD protocols
  • Clear oral & written communication skills
  • Strong work ethic and trainable

 

Preferred Experience and Skills

  • Understand GD&T and mechanical drawings
  • AS9102 First Article Inspection Report
  • Soldering J-STD-001 certification
  • IPC-A-600, 610, and 620 certifications
